A care home financial director has denied defrauding her workplace out of more than half a million pounds.

Karen Murray, 57, of Prospect Place, Haverfordwest, faces nine charges including six of fraud by abuse of position.

It is alleged she defrauded East Park Care Centre in Jeffreyston, Kilgetty, in Pembrokeshire, out of a total of £506,015.58 between 2013 and 2024.

Ms Murray also faces three charges relating to forging three people’s signatures between 2013 and 2018.

It is alleged that she forged signatures on a loan application, on the resignation form of a director, and on company accounts.

Appearing at Swansea Crown Court on Friday, she entered a not guilty plea to all nine charges.

Ms Murray was released on unconditional bail, until her trial in June next year.
