Exeter centre Will Rigg is likely to miss the start of next season after undergoing foot surgery.

The 25-year-old suffered a ligament injury in the win over Northampton earlier this month.

Exeter’s medical staff expect the former Coventry player, who joined the Chiefs last season, to be out for three to four months.

It means he will miss most of pre-season and probably the start of the 2025-26 campaign.

Rigg has scored nine tries in 22 appearances in all competitions this season and signed a new contract in March.
