WATCH: Gloucestershire’s cheese rolling through out the years

Cheese rolling is a long-standing tradition in Gloucestershire.

Sources say the event has taken place on Cooper’s Hill since the 1820s, with contestants turning up every year ready to take on the incredibly steep slope.

Over the years the hill has seen it all, with people competing in all types of outfits from sports gear to mankinis.

One thing is for sure, and that is the cheese always beats people to the bottom.
