Tributes paid to ‘legendary’ Glastonbury Egg Man

Tributes have been paid to a much-loved farmer who delivered eggs to a town for decades in his Morris Minor.

The so-called Egg Man of Glastonbury, Wilfred Peddle, was described as “an amazing man” by residents.

He delivered eggs for all of his adult life after “falling in love with hens”.

He has died aged 74.
