Trains line between Barrow and Lancaster flooded after storm

A train line has been closed until Friday due to flooding caused by Storm Bert.

Northern said its services between Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria and Lancaster are expected to be disrupted throughout the week due to problems in the Ulverston area.

The line will not be served by trains until Friday morning, the operator said, however a bus replacement service will run in both directions.

Network Rail said teams were working to clear the debris on the track.
