Three more men have been charged in connection with the murder of a man in Airdrie last month.

Kevin Samuel Bowman, 30, died following a disturbance on Hamilton Drive in Airdrie at about 00:15 on 18 September.

A 24-year-old man and 26-year-old man were both charged with murder when they appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Now a further three men – aged 27, 25 and 22 – are due to appear at the same court later in connection with the death.

Mr Bowman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland announced the death was being treated as murder, and opened a major incident portal for members of the public to submit information to assist the investigation.
