Teenager arrested after Stonehaven street stabbing

A teenager has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Stonehaven.

Officers were called to the Aberdeenshire town’s Market Square at about 20:15 on Saturday following reports of a serious assault.

The 18-year-old, found injured at the scene, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Scotland said a 17-year-old boy had been arrested in connection with the incident.

Officers said inquires were ongoing and urged anyone with information to get in touch.
