Swansea sex attacks: Man, 20, charged with multiple offences

A 20-year-old Swansea man has been charged with multiple offences, including attempted rape and possession of an offensive weapon.

He has appeared at Swansea Magistrates Court, where he was remanded into custody.

He is charged with two attempted rapes, exposure, attempted grievous bodily harm, assault by penetration and possession of an offensive weapon, following incidents early on Sunday June 23 in Swansea city centre.

South Wales Police says investigations into the incident are ongoing.

The force wants to speak to a woman who had an interaction with a man while walking alone on Mariner Street, near the railway station, at 06:15 BST on Sunday.

There is also an appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who knows the identity of the woman in question.
