Swansea City: Boss Alan Sheehan says he shares fans’ frustration over poor form

Sheehan’s springtime success combined with a positive summer transfer window meant there was increased optimism – and expectation – heading into 2025-26, the Irishman’s first full campaign at the helm.

But as yet, Swansea have been unable to match the standards set at the back-end of last season.

Sheehan says he understands if fans are frustrated because “everybody within the club” feels the same.

“It is ultimately small margins at the moment and coming out on the right side, but you earn that and then you build confidence and character, and you get to that place where you have a group that has that momentum,” he said.

“We haven’t got the number of points that we would have liked in this block, but it’s something we address, we look at and we try to go into the game on Saturday and be a better version of ourselves.
