Suspected carbon monoxide leak at primary school in Stevenage

Three people, including two children, have been taken to hospital for checks after a suspected carbon monoxide leak at a primary school.

The emergency services were called to Martins Wood Primary School in Mildmay Road, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, just after 13:00 BST on Wednesday.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) said they attended the school after reports of children and adults becoming unwell. A total of 15 patients – six adults and nine children – were treated at the scene.

On its social media account, Martins Wood Primary School, external confirmed the incident was being investigated and said all children at the school were safe.
