Sunderland fans’ emotions run high after Wembley win

There were thousands of cheers and lots of tears as thousands of Sunderland fans celebrated their club’s Wembley win.

Teenager Tommy Watson scored a 95th-minute winner in the Championship play-off final to send Sunderland AFC up to the Premier League and deny Sheffield United.

The 2-1 result means the Black Cats are promoted to the top flight after eight years away.

Some fans are already looking forward to taking on their rivals Newcastle United in the infamous derbies.
