Sunak on NHS waiting times: We are making headway

The PM said “we have not made as much progress” as he would liked on cutting waiting times in England.

But Rishi Sunak added they were heading towards his goal, which was one of his five priorities set out when he went into Number 10.

He said the figures would have seen an extra 430,000 patients seen without industrial action affecting health services in England.
