Stranded dolphin found dead in the Humber Estuary

A dolphin has been found dead in the Humber Estuary, Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue has said.

The organisation said it was called to reports of a stranding near Goxhill, North Lincolnshire, at about 15:30 BST on Sunday.

The Humber Coastguard was called to collect data as the animal is classed as a Royal Fish, which under UK law is the property of the King.

The mammal was removed by the UK Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme and will be taken to London for further investigation.
