Storm Darragh: Trains cancelled as storm disruption continues

A local train service was cancelled and some roads and paths were still blocked by fallen trees, as Storm Darragh continued to cause disruption on Sunday.

As the storm battered the West Midlands on Saturday, a man died when a tree fell on his car, rail lines were blocked, and homes were flooded or left without power.

West Midlands Railway said on Sunday that its Cross City line, which runs from Lichfield Trent Valley to Redditch and Bromsgrove, would be cancelled all day.

It added that all of its services in the region could be affected by delays or cancellations.
