Storm Darragh: Rare red weather warning set for Wales

It was the calm before the storm in Aberystwyth on Friday as the town geared up for the arrival of the latest batch of extreme weather.

Reporter Craig Duggan braved an already choppy seafront at high tide to warn of the impending Storm Darragh.

A rare red weather warning, the Met Office is forecasting very strong and damaging winds for much of the country this weekend.

The warning – the highest level – has predicted dangerous and potentially life-threatening conditions affecting a total of 13 counties.
