Storm Bert: How climate change causes wetter winters

Storm Bert lashed parts of the UK this weekend with heavy rainfall and strong winds – weather made more likely by climate change.

At least five people died in the storm this weekend that flooded homes and brought major disruption to road and rail networks.

As some communities across the UK begin the clean-up process, Jonah Fisher explains how climate change makes extreme weather more likely, and explores what can be done to better prepare the country in the future.
