Spring tide swamps Cleethorpes fairground

A spring tide swamped fairground rides on Cleethorpes seafront.

The Environment Agency issued a flood alert covering the coast between Barton-upon-Humber and Humberston.

The rides, which sit in front of the seawall at North Promenade, were flooded on Sunday evening.

Further down the coast, the majority of the salt marsh at Saltfleetby – Theddlethorpe Dunes was inundated.

The flood alert has now been lifted.
