A yoga instructor who survived last year’s Southport stabbings said her ongoing sense of discomfort around knives had inspired her to campaign for safer alternatives.
Leanne Lucas was critically injured in the 29 July 2024 attack that claimed the lives of three children – Alice Aguiar, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Bebe King.
She said she would like people to consider using blunt-ended kitchen knives instead of traditional pointy-ended versions.
Ms Lucas said she wanted her Let’s Be Blunt campaign “to play a tiny part towards preventing future knife crime”.
