Six dogs rescued from burning building

A woman and her six dogs have been rescued after a fire in the thatched roof of a home in north Devon.

South Molton Fire Station said on Facebook, external 10 crews were called out to the blaze in Bishop’s Nympton at about 18:20 BST on Sunday.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said a woman inside the cottage was rescued along with six dogs she owned.

Other animals at the property included llamas and horses but they were outside and not harmed in the blaze, the fire service said.
