Wales lock Shona Wakley is stepping away from international rugby having won 45 caps for her country.
Wakley (nee Powell-Hughes) was named in the current Six Nations squad but has not featured during the campaign.
She made her debut as the youngest member of Wales’ 2010 Rugby World Cup squad against South Africa.
“The time has come to announce I will be stepping away from the international stage,” said 33-year-old Wakley on social media.
The Bridgend-born forward, who has impressed playing for Brython Thunder in the Celtic Challenge this season, added she was “proud to have played a small part in the development of women’s game in Wales”.
