Second man arrested over murder bid near Edinburgh primary school

A second man has been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted murder near a primary school in Edinburgh.

Police said a 41-year-old man was seriously injured on Groathill Road North, close to Ferryhill Primary School.

The incident happened at about 14:30 on 29 May.

A 34-year-old man was arrested last week and officers said inquiries were ongoing.

The second suspect, aged 39, is expected to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
