Remembrance services held across Channel Islands

People in the Channel Islands gathered to mark Remembrance Sunday with services and parades.

Islanders came together at a number of events with the two-minute silence held at 11:00 GMT to pay respects to people who served during both World Wars and other conflicts.

St Ouen in Jersey was one of the places where a service was held with members of the community, including the Sea Scouts, laying poppy wreaths at the war memorial.

A parade was also held in St Peter Port from the fire station to Smith Street with bagpipe players leading the procession before wreaths were laid at the town’s war memorial.
