The “ram-raid burglary” happened on Berry Lane, Longridge in the early hours of Friday, police say

Thieves have used a JCB digger to steal a cash machine from a Lancashire supermarket, police have said.

The “ram-raid burglary” happened shortly before 03:00 GMT on Friday at a Co-op in Longridge, Lancashire Police said.

The force said it was investigating the incident on Berry Lane and was appealing for witnesses and footage.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact the force.
