Public ‘can’t comprehend’ after chip shop sells ‘strange’ non-food-related item

However, people were divided over the menu addition and took to the comment section of the post.

One person joked: “Scottish chippys are terrifying man have they got deep fried Colin the caterpillar back there too.”

Another added: “There’s a local cig and alcohol delivery service near where I live. £15 for an elf bar tho, I guess for desperate 4am moments.”

A third said: “Mine will do ciggies, nappies, pet food… the true heart of the community.”

One user spotted something else in the post and commented: “is ‘Ben Jerry’s’ supposed to be “Ben & Jerry’s” like the ice cream brand or is it just entirely unrelated (the funnier option).”

Another joked: “Eat lovely dinner, have sex, smoke cigarettes, what a lovely night.”

And finally, someone added: “I can’t comprehend this.”

But many of those who commented couldn’t get over the price of a pack of cigarettes.

One wrote: “L&Bs for nearly £20 is such a red flag tho ?????? you can get marlboro golds in central london for that price.”

A second said: “nine. teen. quid.”

A third commented: “Glad I gave up last year £20 a packet.”

Another simply wrote: “20 pounds…”

One asked: “Are packs of 20 actually 20 quid now?”

And finally someone said: “£19.47 for twenty fags? Wow.”
