An 86-year-old man has died three days after being hit by a car.
South Wales Police said the pedestrian died from his injuries after being hit by a blue Skoda Fabia in Sandfields, Port Talbot at about 17:45 GMT on Saturday.
The 20-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs, driving without a licence and without due care and attention and has been released under investigation.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
