The US star is playing 15 UK dates with concerts in London, Cardiff and Liverpool.
Police Scotland said many of the frauds had taken place on online marketplace platforms.
In statement on social media, the force said: “People have transferred money for tickets for Taylor Swift’s sold-out UK tour dates.
“The amount of money suspected to have been fraudulently paid is estimated at over £5,000.
“Please be vigilant and ensure you are buying from legitimate sources, checking any bank details being provided.”
It comes after Taylor Swift fans have been caught out in Wales and other areas of the UK by fraudulent ticket sales.
Officers said buyers should be wary of “too good to be true” prices and avoid paying with cash, wire transfers, or unsecured payment methods.
