Police hunt four over £1,600 whisky theft from Talikser distillery

Police are trying to trace three men and a woman after bottles of whisky worth about £1,600 in total were stolen from a distillery in Skye.

It is not known how many bottles were taken from the Talisker site in Carbost.

Police Scotland said they were stolen at about 12:30 on Sunday.

Officers, appealing for information, described the four people as Asian and all about 30 years old.

One of the men was described as being of slim build and having dark short hair, stubble and a short beard.

He was wearing dark glasses, a blue denim top with a cream fleece lining and dark trousers.

Another of the men was said to be of slim build, had dark stubble and wore a dark T-shirt, jacket and jeans, as well as a Super Dry cap.

The third man had dark, medium-length hair. He was wearing glasses, a dark button jacket with a white top underneath and light trousers.

Police said the woman had long dark hair and was wearing two pairs of glasses, and a dark jacket and skirt. She had Converse-style platform shoes.
