Police drone training in soft play area

A soft play area has been used by Lincolnshire Police to train drone pilots.

A video posted by Lincolnshire Police showed a drone being followed as it made its way through netting, slides, and climbing frames.

In the post on X, the force said it understood that it “may appear strange” but a soft play area was “one of the most complex and challenging environments” for officers to refine their skills.

In response to a comment, the force added that drones were “pretty strong even against a solid object”.
