Murder and preventing burial charges over Bournemouth man’s death

A woman has been charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of an 88-year-old man.

Dorset Police said officers were called to Edgehill Road, in the Winton area of Bournemouth, by the ambulance service who had raised concerns for the welfare of a man at the address on Saturday, shortly before 13:00 BST.

The force said Tamara MacGarry, from Bournemouth, who was arrested at the scene, had been charged with murder and preventing a lawful burial.

The 60-year-old, who police said was known to the man, is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
