Mum who died in Bellshill crash named as Clare Ritchie

A 41-year-old pedestrian who died after a crash in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, has been named as Clare Ritchie.

The incident happened about 21:30 on Friday on Crossgates in the town and involved a silver Ford Fiesta.

Emergency services attended and she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Her family described her as “a loving mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend”.
