Moray MSP Richard Lochhead recovers after major surgery

MSP Richard Lochhead is recovering in intensive care after undergoing “major surgery”, his office has announced.

The 54-year-old MSP for Moray was initially treated at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin in his constituency last week after feeling unwell.

He was then transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary at the weekend for surgery, and was said to be “stable”.

First Minister John Swinney expressed his “love, thoughts, encouragement and support” in a post on social media.
