Mexico’s National Guard debuts chihuahua recruit named ‘Comando’

Comando, a 13-month-old Chihuahua, has become Mexico’s National Guard’s smallest canine recruit.

Equipped with protective gear and a camera, he is being trained for search-and-rescue missions and to help build a friendlier image of the security force amid ongoing debate over its increasing military role.
