Manchester Airport: Brothers in court to face police assault charges

Two brothers have appeared in court charged assaulting police at Manchester Airport, before an officer was filmed stamping on a suspect’s head.

Footage of the brawl at the airport’s Terminal Two building on July 23 was widely shared online.

Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammed Ammad, 25, both from Rochdale, are alleged to have assaulted officers during the incident.

Both men gave no indication of pleas before magistrates and the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court on 13 February.
