A man who urinated in front of other passengers on a plane and smoked in the toilets has been jailed.
Brian Watt, 34, of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, was sentenced to eight months in prison for his “disgraceful” behaviour onboard an EasyJet flight between Glasgow and Tenerife on 20 April.
The plane had to be diverted to Bristol Airport to remove Watt from the flight after he caused a number of issues while drunk.
He was sentenced at North Somerset Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to being drunk on an aircraft, criminal damage, failing to obey the lawful commands of the pilot, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words towards crew.
