A man has been released on bail after being arrested following the search of a house in Keady, south Armagh.

The arrest was made after police recovered and made safe an improvised explosive device in Keady.

Officers carried out a search at a property in the Tassagh Road area in support of an investigation by An Garda Síochána (Irish police) in County Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland.

PSNI Det Insp Winters said police enquiries are “continuing in relation to this investigation, as we work closely with our colleagues from An Garda Síochána”.
