Man killed in A92 crash in Angus

A 22-year-old man has died in a crash on the A92 near Inverkeilor in Angus.

The crash, involving a red Renault Clio and a grey Nissan Juke, happened at about 17:40 on Sunday.

The driver of the Renault was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old female passenger and the driver of the Nissan, a 66-year-old man, were taken to Ninewells Hospital.

The road was closed and reopened at about 06:00 on Monday.

Sgt Steve Livesey of Police Scotland said: “Inquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.”
