Man charged after security alert in County Tyrone

A man has been charged after a security alert in County Tyrone.

The man, aged in his 30s, has been charged with possessing explosives under suspicious circumstances.

The police said a suspicious object was found in the Oakfield Gardens area of Moy on Friday, resulting in the closure of a number of roads and the evacuation of properties.

PSNI Det Sgt Dougherty said: “Ammunition Technical Officers determined that there were a number of viable devices in the property and carried out controlled explosions.”
