Man charged after £1.6m of cocaine found in house raid

A 34-year-old man has been arrested after £1.6m of cocaine was recovered in a police raid at a house in Lanarkshire.

Police Scotland said officers executed a warrant on Gartmill Crescent in Moodiesburn on Tuesday.

The man was charged and was due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court.

Det Sgt Lee Graham said: “This recovery highlights our commitment to tackling dangerous and illegal drugs in our local communities.”
