Teenager killed in Fraserburgh motorbike crash

An 18-year-old has died in a collision between the motorbike he was riding and another vehicle in Aberdeenshire.

The crash involving a Lexmoto LXR 125 motorbike and a Volkswagen Transporter happened on Watermill Road, Fraserburgh, at about 15:10 on Thursday.

Police Scotland said the teenager died at the scene of the collision. The driver of the Volkswagen did not require medical treatment.

The road was closed and reopened at around 23:30.

Sgt Dave Cooper said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this difficult time.”

He appealed for witnesses and anyone with dash-cam footage to contact police, external.
