A man has been arrested in Brighton on suspicion of a child sex offence.
Sussex Police confirmed to the BBC that a 66-year-old local man had been arrested on Saturday and currently remains in custody.
“We are aware of footage circulating on social media showing a man in Brighton being detained on suspicion of engaging in online sexual communications with a child,” said the force.
“This is an ongoing and active investigation,” a Sussex Police spokesperson said.
