The car collided with scaffolding in Hanover Street

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences after his car crashed into scaffolding in Edinburgh.

Hanover Street and Queen Street were shut and diversions set up following the incident which happened at about 14:20.

There were no reported injuries but police said the scaffolding had become insecure.

The roads have since reopened.
