Malaysia sinkhole: Woman missing after pavement collapses in Kuala Lumpur | World News

A woman is missing in Malaysia after plunging into a 26ft-deep (8m) sinkhole when the pavement she was walking on collapsed beneath her, authorities have said.

The incident happened in the Dang Wangi area of the capital Kuala Lumpur early on Friday.

Witnesses saw the woman on the pavement when it suddenly caved in under her, according to local police chief Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman.

She has not been identified but is believed to be an Indian national, Mr Sulizmie added.
