M5 closed between Burnham-on-Sea and Puriton after vehicle fire

Traffic has stopped in both directions on parts of the M5 due to a vehicle fire.

All lanes have been closed between between junction 22, at Burnham-on-Sea, and junction 23 at Puriton since around 09:35 BST on Friday, according to traffic management site Inrix.

National Highways South West said emergency services and traffic officers are at the scene.

There are about two miles of congestion in both directions.
