Luke Fletcher: Nottinghamshire seamer to leave club after 17 years

Nottinghamshire seamer Luke Fletcher will leave Trent Bridge after 17 years with the County Championship club at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old has taken 643 wickets across all formats since making his first-class debut for the East Midlands club in 2008.

He collected five major titles in his time with Notts, starting with the County Championship Division One crown in 2010, two T20 Blast and One-Day Cups, as well as the Division Two title as they won promotion back to the top-flight in 2022.

Fletcher will now leave at the end of a difficult campaign for Notts, with the club battling to avoid relegation as they sit third from bottom in Division One with one win from 12 matches so far.

“For a local lad to represent this club is an honour, and I never could have expected the career I’ve had,” Bulwell-born Fletcher told the club website, external.

“Whilst I am sad that my time at the club is done, I couldn’t be happier with everything I have achieved. Trent Bridge feels like home, it always has done, and it always will do.”
