Londonderry: Three arrested over fail-to-stop and drugs

Three men have been arrested after failing to stop for police in Londonderry.

A white BMW being driven erratically was reported to police at about 23:00 BST on Friday in the Clooney Road area.

The driver failed to stop for police and the car was found crashed and abandoned in a field nearby.

The three men who police believe feld the crash scene were later arrested.

Police also discovered “a quantity of suspected Class A drugs” following a search of the car.

A man in his 20s has been arrested over suspected drug possession with intent to supply and a number of motoring offences.

Two men aged 23 and 22 have also been arrested for suspected drug possession with intent to supply.

All three men are in police custody and officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
