Spain: Three Irish people die in crash

Three people from Ireland have died in a car crash in Spain.

Another person has been seriously injured, Irish broadcaster RTÉ are reporting.

The crash happened near the popular tourist destination of Málaga at about 02:30 local time on Sunday.

They are understood to be from Mullingar, County Westmeath.

In a statement the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said it is aware of the incident and is currently providing consular assistance to the families involved.
