League Two: Games at Colchester and Crawley off due to waterlogged pitches

Crawley's home game against Barrow has been postponed
Crawley’s match at Broadfield Stadium was postponed more than 24 hours before the scheduled kick-off time

Colchester United’s League Two game against Stockport has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

The decision was taken following an 09:00 GMT pitch inspection; no new date has yet been agreed.

Crawley Town’s home fixture against Barrow was called off on Friday for the same reason.

With the Bluebirds facing a 650-mile round trip, a local official was called to inspect the Broadfield Stadium surface following heavy rain.

After discussions with the Professional Game Match Officials Limited, which manages professional refereeing in England, and with the English Football League, it was decided to postpone the game.

Barrow complained to the EFL after last Saturday’s home match with Bradford was called off just over an hour before kick-off.
