Lancashire have announced that they will play their first games at their new Farington ‘second home’ later in 2026.

The purpose-built facility, located a few miles south of Preston, will stage men’s games in the One-Day Cup against Kent (28 July) and Notts Outlaws (30 July).

The women’s team will also play games in the 50-over competition against Surrey (3 September) and Durham (6 September) at the club’s new 5,000-capacity hub.

The £20m project features two ovals, one for professional cricket and one earmarked for recreational, youth and grassroots cricket, as well as elite practice facilities.

Additional funding has been provided by the ECB and the government for the completion of the site’s indoor training dome, which will give 12 months-a-year access to players.
