Kyran Durnin: Search continues at former home of missing child

Detectives believe he may have been killed up to two years ago.

Last week, gardaí upgraded their missing child inquiry to a murder investigation.

On 30 August, Kyran was reported missing from his home in Drogheda along with his mother, Dayla Durnin, who was subsequently located but there has been no sign of her son.

Gardaí said technical and forensic examinations will be carried out at the house, where Kyran lived until May, and the garden and adjoining open ground will also be searched.

The “current tenants of this house are not connected in anyway with Kyran or his disappearance”, the Gardaí added.
