King Charles sees new sterling banknotes with his image on

King Charles III has been shown new sterling banknotes that feature his image.

The governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey and chief cashier, Sarah John, visited the King at Buckingham Palace, where they presented the notes.

Mr Bailey told the King it was a “big moment” as before him, only his mother Queen Elizabeth II had appeared on British banknotes.
